2 Corinthians 12:8-9 Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Love is such an interesting thing. There NEEDS to be a murky gray to the black and whites in this world… and it just makes me think of Les Mis and how Javert couldnt forgive Jean Valjean, because he was a thief… even after all the good he has done!

Grace vs Justice

This week I had to come back to Grace and Love when I was seeking out repayment and apologies…

I wanted Justice!

I had to learn some real hard lessons about Grace because grace really doesn’t make sense when you feel like someone doesnt deserve something or someone should be punished for their mistakes and their human flaws…

It’s so easy to have a biased and human judgement when you are dealing with people that are not exactly like you.

Jesus how the heck did you do it??? So crazy!! Thats the power of Grace man.

Grace makes you rethink everything you do. Grace makes God strong when you are weak. Grace makes God wise when you appear foolish.

Grace is really how God wanted to demonstrate his power.

Giving advice to others about Fundraising is soo easy!

But when it comes to asking money for your own trips… its so hard! Especially knowing that some of the people you will be asking are peeps who you know are trying to pay off loans and stuff… man!!!

Thank you for being the lord of everything (and especially money) God!! Please take care of my finances and help me to not be judgemental or nervous about asking… but just to have greater faith in you! :)

"The healthy Christian is not necessarily the extrovert, ebullient Christian, but the Christian who has a sense of God’s presence stamped deep on his soul, who trembles at God’s word, who lets it dwell in him richly by constant meditation upon it, and who tests and reforms his life daily in response to it.” J.I. Packer"

Disclaimer: I know we need to strive for joy, rather than happiness…and the source of this joy needs to come from the Lord. Keeping all of that in mind, these are still good practical steps.

1 Corinthians 3:5-9

What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. 9For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.

I’m in one of the best places right now… just being a spectator and enjoying what God is doing where I’m at :)
